Nut Bread
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1 egg
1/2 cup maple syrup (grade B)
3 cups biscuit mix
Directions:
Mix syrup and nuts and let stand, several hours before baking. Mix sugar,
egg, milk and biscuit mix until moist. Stir in the nut mixture. Beat well
for 30 seconds. Pour into well greased loaf pan, 9x5x3. Bake at 350F for
45 minutes. Cool before slicing.

Maple Bars
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup syrup (grade B)
1 egg
2/3 cup flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped coconut or nuts
Directions:
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Spread in greased square pan 8X8. Bake
at 350F, for 30-35 minutes. Let cool before cutting.

Maple
Glazed Carrots
Here's a great trick to get your kids to eat their veggies.
Ingredients:
8 medium carrots ( Sometimes, I use frozen)
3 tbsp butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp ginger
Directions:
Slice carrots. Cook until tender. Add other ingredients and simmer until
glazed.
** Here is a helpful hint! The longer the carrots sit in the mixture,
the better they taste!

Maple Pumpkin
Pie
Ingredients:
1 pound can pumpkin (or your own frozen pumpkin)
1 can maple syrup ( use pumpkin can)
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves (optional)
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together until it has no lumps and is smooth.
Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 375F for 45 minutes or until a
knife, when inserted, comes out clean.

Homemade
Pie Crust
Never made a homemade pie crust? It's easy!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Cream ingredients together in a mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add
flour gradually until mixture forms a soft dough. Flour surface and roll
out your pie dough.
** Helpful Hint, Don't throw your left over dough away! Roll it out
and cut it into cookies! It makes great sugar cookies, or use it as a
way of letting your kids help!

Maple Fudge
Ingredients:
1 cup maple syrup
2 cups sugar
1 tbsp corn syrup
1 cup milk
Directions:
Cook to 236F. Then beat until creamy and pour into a buttered pan. Note:
don't beat too long! If it starts to crystallize, it will turn hard! It
makes good candy then!
